AmFirst Names New Consumer Loans VP

AmFirst announces the promotion of Allie Franks to the role of vice president—consumer loan operations.

Franks brings over two decades of experience within AmFirst to the position, having most recently served as the credit union’s director of lending services.

“Allie plays a pivotal role in executing our business plan and brings heart and soul to every process, project and member issue she encounters,” said Kevin W. Morris, senior vice president—chief retail officer. “She is a holistic leader that embodies our vision of improving the lives of our members and the communities that we serve.”

In her new post, Franks will oversee daily operations related to consumer lending policies, procedures, products and delivery systems. Her new duties will see her acting as a key liaison between diverse internal departments at AmFirst along with external vendors. Franks will also be responsible for further streamlining existing consumer lending processes to maximize efficiency.

“I’m excited for all the opportunities this move will bring, and I want to express my gratitude to my team for their hard work and dedication,” Franks said. “The support network that I have at AmFirst is second to none, and I look forward to accomplishing our goals and strategic directives.”

Prior to being tapped for this new role, Franks took on multiple leadership positions with AmFirst, including branch manager, consumer lending manager and director of lending services. April will mark the 23rd year of her tenure with the institution.

Franks is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School.
