AmFirst was recently recognized for outstanding outreach to members and communities through the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) statewide awards.
CUNA provides the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU) with a way to recognize these efforts with a statewide awards program. The program features four awards, which credit unions compete for within categories based on asset size.
AmFirst received the Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action, which honors credit unions that make exceptional efforts to include credit union philosophy into daily operations.
“It’s our pleasure to be able to recognize a few of our member credit unions for the great work they do for their members and communities each day,” LSCU President Jared Ross said. “These awards showcase the best of the best in an industry already known for its creative approach to making a financial difference to consumers.”
The award-winning submissions from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama have been entered in the national awards program administered by CUNA. The results of the national contest will be announced in November.
