Give Your Students a Bite of Reality with AmFirst

Looking for a fun and interactive way to to teach teens basic money management?  With the Bite of Reality app, students are given a fictional occupation, salary, credit score, family, debt, and insurance.  Once they receive their new persona, students walk around to various stations to “purchase” necessities like housing, transportation, food, and other needs. Teens will have to deal with characters like a pushy car salesperson, a commission-based realtor, and more while they weigh their wants versus their needs.  While they try to budget their salaries, they might even encounter the “Fickle Finger of Fate”.  Students will receive unexpected “windfalls” or “expenses” that they will experience in real life.  The game also includes a “credit union” to help when financial needs arise throughout the simulation.
