Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Annual Meeting of America’s First Federal Credit Union has been postponed until June 16th at 4:00 at the administrative office located at 1200 4th Avenue, North in downtown Birmingham.
In order to comply with the Safer-at-Home directive by Governor Kay Ivey, the meeting will be held while respecting social distancing guidelines. Due to these restrictions, members will be admitted to the meeting as allowed by the guidelines. Once the maximum number of members are admitted, no one else will be allowed in the auditorium. Due to the reduced number of participants this year, there will not be a drawing for door prizes.
We will make arrangements for our members to view the meeting virtually, via Facebook Live. Be sure to check our website and Facebook page in the days leading up to the meeting to ensure that you are able to view the meeting.
Each year at the Annual Meeting, the membership has the opportunity to elect members of the Board of Directors of their credit union. View the 2020 Nomination Notice HERE. This year, we have four candidates to fill the four available positions available for election. We are very excited about the talent and expertise that these very qualified applicants bring as they serve on the Board of Directors.
We understand that many of our members will not be able to attend the Annual Meeting in person due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We do hope that you will be able to view it live on June 16th, and we certainly hope that you will be able join us in person, next year.
Thank you for your membership and your continued trust in America’s First Federal Credit Union.
