Black Jacket Symphony presents Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers-inspired show live at Logan Martin

The Black Jacket Symphony is again partnering with The Center for Education and Performing Arts, AmFirst and the City of Pell City for the summer’s biggest lake event.

Join us this year for a live performance of Tom Petty’s “D**n the Torpedoes.”

The event will be held at the Pell City Sports Complex on Logan Martin Lake on Friday, September 3. Come kick off Labor Day weekend with an unforgettable concert under the stars sponsored by Americas First Federal Credit Union!

Last year’s event showcased The Black Jacket Symphony performing Queen’s “A Night at the Opera” featuring Marc Martel. More than 800 attended on land and another 1,000 were estimated to have viewed the event from the water.

The event raised funds that helped support both CEPA Management Corp. and the Logan Martin Charity Foundation during a difficult year.

Tickets will be available as both 8’x8’ VIP squares and, for the first time, as general admission (GA). In VIP Squares, a ticket admits up to four individuals. GA areas will be open to ticket holders and will not have enforced seating requirements.

Fans are allowed and encouraged to bring their own tailgate setup, including beverages, food, and lawn chairs. Concessions may be available on site. On-site parking will be free but limited. Please carpool when able. Site access will open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.

“Last year’s inaugural Live at Logan Martin event was only possible thanks to CEPA’s many partners, especially AmFirst, LakeFest, the City of Pell City and The Black Jacket Symphony,” said Jeff Thompson, CEPA Executive Director. “It was the highlight of our year, and we think it was for many others as well. We’re ecstatic to be able to bring it back in 2021.”

Due to the generosity of sponsors, the event is free to boats and will feature large video screens for optimum viewing.

Proceeds benefit CEPA Management Corp. and its efforts to increase access to the performing arts in St. Clair County.

Limited land tickets are available and go on sale online only on Friday, July 3 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at www.liveatloganmartin.com and www.pellcitycepa.com/tickets.
