How to Join

Join a Not-for-Profit Financial Institution

We’re a not-for-profit financial institution owned by our members. It changes how we see and treat people. Join by opening a Share Savings account* with at least $5.00.

There are two ways to be eligible for membership.

You’re eligible to join if you live, work, worship or attend school in one of these counties: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Chilton, Coosa, Cullman, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker, and certain areas of Mobile.
You are also eligible for membership if you’re an immediate family member of a current member.

You can apply online, in a branch, or over the phone.

Joint Accounts?

Add or delete joint account owners through the Joint Account Agreement. Bring it to any branch or mail it to:

  • *Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record all information that identifies each person who opens an account. America’s First Federal Credit Union will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other identifying information in accordance with this policy. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
